draw the line

With the release coming soon, I wanted to write a bit about the songs on “single #1”. The first song is called “draw the line”.  I am passionate in my belief that people should not be discriminated against based on their religious beliefs (or lack thereof) or sexual orientation, and that society needs to move away from ideas that segregate us. It’s my opinion that people who hold their beliefs as superior to others are dangerous and must be fought against.

draw the line

wind slowly moves dark clouds
the sun does battle with the rain
hear the thunder growing loud
hear the wounded cry in pain

our freedom’s like the rocks that stand
against the waves that try to smash it into sand
now it’s time we take a stand

the devil dresses up as god
makes it easier to hide
you’ve got to ask which way your going
it’s not enough to go on the ride

our freedom’s like the rocks that stand
against the waves that try to smash it into sand
now it’s time we take a stand

we’ll choose what we believe
who we love and our deity
we’ve got to draw the line

get ready for a fight
they mixed up wrong and right
and we’re running out of time

we see what we want to fear
the writing’s on the streets
creeping in from far to near
the answers are always incomplete

our freedom’s like the rocks that stand
against the waves that try to smash it into sand
now it’s time to take a stand

we’ll choose what we believe
who we love and our deity
we’ve got to draw the line

get ready for a fight
they mixed up wrong and right
and we’re running out of time

  1. Great stuff Brucie T, cant wait to hear the new Songs! Seems to me like, these Days, the profitable explosion of all these cable/talk radio/opinion
shows have made it extremely hard for People to reach a reasonable compromise. You know, meet me in the Middle!
    Be good,
    JD
